Well, in my latest junkyard find what I thought was a split bench with armrest turned out to be buckets with a center armrest/buddy seat.
This was fine by me as the buckets were what I really wanted in the first place, but I ran into a snag in the install process. The passenger seat bolted in with no problem after drilling the appropriate holes, but the driver seat was a no go. Apperently the Swingers had a different floor stamping than my Duster, so the rails are offset by some two inches (one is higer than the other) so the seat would sit crooked if installed on the flat floor...not cool.So, can anyone help me to determine what cars to look for in the yards that might have the rails I need. Are there some other bodies that have the same rails, or am I stuck until I can find a Duster with buckets to steal the rails from? I hope that is not the case, since all the cars I have found in the local yards are bench cars, and most are Swingers and Scamps. If anyone has these rails I would be very interested in taking them off your hands. Thanks in advance as always
