I just purchased a weiand 4 barrel intake. I want to put my 450 holley mounted sideways on it. Is it worth it to divide the plenum? Also the carb mounting base is 1/4" out of leel inclined front to back. Should I correct this while making the mounting base? |

Hey on my Offy i divided the plenium because i'll be running nos come spring, but its not really a step that must be taken, it is worth it to mount the carb sideways though, on my offy the back 1/2 of the engine was always running WAY to ritch when the secondaries kicked in, so i divided it and turned the carb sideways, makes for easier tuning and alittle better fuel dist. the plate is supposed to have a slight incline to help the carb keep the bowls full when under hard accel/braking. I know about the tilt for a carb in its front to back orientation. but would it apply when sideways I guess is what I was asking? Is the offy like that? |
