Now that I discovered I already have the super six setup, should I get a kit and rebuild the Carter BBD or replace it with a better carb?

I plan to kindly use my truck for things like light hauling and pulling, and driving to work every now and then. I want to improve engine performance, but not go overboard. Not wanting to turn it into a show truck. What's a better, but not too expensive replacement 2 bbl carburetor for the Carter?

Actually, I like the stock bbd. It is a very simple and basic carb which is very easy to adjust and rebuild. If I were you, I would double check to make sure that the throttle shaft isn't worn out and trhen just rebuild the stock carb. If the shaft is worn, you shoudl be able to get it re-bushed at a carb shop.

Another vote for the carter its a great little carb and if you want you can swap to a carter from a 318 and it gives a little boost.
