while rebuilding, I noticed a small hole near the rim of one of the ports of the venturi assembly. Will that have any effect on carb performance?

Does this "small hole" look like a casting flaw / pin hole or is it something that looks machined-in?
(need more info)
If it a casting flaw and is not a source of a vacuum leak or lot's of turbulance, it should be OK.

the hole looks like it could be a casting flaw, but my first thought was from wear. There's nothing other than fuel that touches it, right, so how could a hole develop? It's irregular in shape and tiny, maybe 1/32" - 1/16" in size.
