Another question, If i get a 904 auto trans for my 66 Dart, what must I look for?? Are there different 904 Trans?? Are they a bolt in deal?? Thanks |

Thanks You could swap-in a 60-65 "cable linkage" 904 but that would mean finding the shift linkage, B&T driveshaft and speedo cable special to those transmissions. The 68 and later 904 could be used IF you got a special torque converter with the small nose & the *big input shaft* hub. (fine spline) You could also swap the small input shaft into the later 904. Doc, Is there any way to use an aftermarket shifter(B&M Z-Gate) with the '65-older 904 or do you have to switch to the '66? My engine is a '65, so I see where you say to stay with the '66-down, but I need to know if I can adapt a'65 column-shift 904 for use with the Z-Gate. Thanks. Steve |
