Well, today I discovered that it is possible to re-jet a Carter BBD 2-barrel carb with regular Carter or Edelbrock AFB type jets
...I had always assumed that the 1 and 2 bbl Carter carbs used their own "system" of jets and that all re-jetting on these carbs had to be done w/ existing jets from other like carbs. I just completed my Dutra Duals/Super Six conversion on my '74 Dart Sport, which I will derscribe in other posts...suffice to say "Holy Power Increase, Batman!!!" 
My BBd is one from a Super Six 225, not a 318. I'm having tuning problems w/ evident leaness at idle, it needed 6 turns out on mixture screws to idle at all well. I pulled the carb and opened it up to investigate the float level(I rebuilt this carb almost a year ago along w/ a throttle shaft re-bush). After increasing the float height by a 16th in. I removed a jet to check the size, it was a #86. Got to loking and found a jet from an AFB was a fit match, So I drove the half mile to Summit Racing (im lucky being so close) and bought as pair of #89 and 92 jets. Screwed in the 92's and put float back where it was. Carb was very clean inside, having been triple-bagged in storage. Re-installed it, but it stil wants 4 turns out at idle even at that setting it stalls sometimes like at stoplights. It Rips on the street and hiway never had near this much power before! MyDart today went over 100MPH on the freeway(out of townw/light traffic of course) first time since I've owned it and maybe in it's life! I have my re-curved dist. on manifold vac port on carb, won't idle at all without it. I need to spend more time on this puppy--re-check timing initial/total, maybe adjust valves, etc. I need to thank the Good Doctor Dodge for all his help and wisdom here and elsewhere, and especialy for developing and producing the Dutra Dual front manifold... Man those Duals do work! ALL HAIL THE MIGHTY SLANT!!!
