The 2bbl carb on my Bcuda says it's a Carter 2258. It was fubared by the PO and it's got a small fuel leak. The float cover is bent (not sure how the guy did that) and it's missing some parts. I reckon the guy figured as long as it was running it was fine, but now I know why he made a cover over the manifolds. I googled around for info on it, but I'm not having any luck. The guy at NAPA was lost on the 2258 identification. No point in rebuilding it, so I'm looking for a replacement. Was it even for a Mopar? If so, does anyone have one I could buy? |

It's a 2 barrel. I've got another Carter 2 barrel (id number is 2543) sitting around so I'll try that one tomorrow. These have both been the id number stamped into the side. Is that the right way to figure out what model they are? |
