It's time to start my 3-on-tree to OD-833 swap and I'm also in dire need of a new clutch assy. I've read the clutch article on this web sit but I'm still scratching my head some. So for a 73' Dart /6 with OD-833, 8.25 open rear of 3.21 ratio, and stock to slightly warmed motor, what would be a good clutch choice. I need to keep cost down and I plan no smokey burnouts, only spirited driving on occasion, so please advise, thanks.

You need to make sure your flywheel/bellhousing will accept it but I have a d-100 truck with 131" wheelbase, 3.23 gears(open), and 833od, with the 10 inch clutch and it will fry the tires (235/70/15).

your choice will be based on what size bellhousing/flywheel combo you have. If you're running a 10.5" setup you're golden.
I've had great luck with sachs pressureplate/disk combos and hayes makes high quality units.
Centerforce is cool beans too, if you're looking to drop that kinda coin.

I have a CenterForce Dual Friction in my '68 Charger with a very very strong 440, and I've never had a better pressure plate/clutch!

Why is the rum always gone?

I'll be using the stock /6 flywheel, so my take from the clutch assy article is that the 10 inch B & B "cover type" 3 lever unit is about the best I can do, but please correct me if I'm wrong. Thanks for the responses

Yes, the 10 inch "HD" Truck / Taxi SL6 clutch should work fine for what you have. Be sure to check for cracks in the cover, righ around the cover mounting bolts.
