I am delving into rebuilding my '74 904. Got a manual specific to that tranny. I ordered the master rebuild kit, bushings kit and front and rear bands. Is there anything else I might need? Somewhere I read a shift kit was a good idea.

Background: Slant six 225 with Isky 264 cam, Weber 32/36 2 BBL carb, port and polished heads, stock valves, 321 sure grip 8 1/4 rear, stock exhaust manifold with 2 1/4 exhaust system. Street daily driver. '74 Plymouth Scamp.

Thanks

You might consider upgrading it to V8 internals for the extra clutch disks.... not a mandatory item, but a nice bit of insurance.
