I got everything I need to convert my slant to electronic ignition, except directions. there are 3 wires that i am not 100% sure where they go. are there diagrams out there or can someone help me out? also is the dist drive gear on the bottom supposed to be plastic? even the one on my air cooled VW is metal? makes me nervous fellas, put me at ease. The load on the dist gear does not change with the horsepower level. It would rise slightly with rpm. I have never had a problem with a plastic gear, however I have replaced a small number of them on high milage daily drivers. If you are worried about it NAPA does have a steel gear, number DG-404. |
