i'm looking for a torque converter in the 2500 rpm range that will fit our 904. I'm having very little luck finding a converter period, much less one of a decent stahl speed, much less for a decent price.....please help!

Call Andre, at Edge Racing converters. http://www.edgeracingconverters.com/index.htm He built the converter I run in my Cuda. I ordered it on Monday morning, and had it on Wed afternoon, overnight air. 3000 rpm stall, early small crank pilot, late large input shaft. Tell him Charlie Schmid from Florida recommended him. |

If you are out West, you may want to try Continential Converters. Another supplier in the Midwest is... Midwest Converters. DD

I was having the same trouble of not finding any. The guy who did my tranny work was able to call a factory that he order his stuff from and managed to have them custom make one for me. I dont know if this is the best price option to go with but if all else fails give it a whirl! |

The converter i got form Continential is a "special order" 8 inch unit, it was kind of "spendy" at $700.00 but it works real good.-Jesse I'm sure they have cheaper ones to fit your need so give them a call and get a quote. DD |

I don't know why you are having a problem finding a converter. Get in touch with any of the converter manufactures listed. They should be able to help you. Just mke sure you till them it is for a slant six, or you will not get enough stall speed. |

Like Charlie said, with the later engine you can easily find a converter. Midwest is one of the least expensive I've found, and I know others on this board have used them. Joe |

I got in contact with a guy named marshall from www.campbellenterprises.com and they can make you a custom converter as a very decent price and following your specs. I asked for a 11" 904 converter, 2300 rpm stall, and the budget was cheap: 250 bux. plus shipping, of course. they have special HD flex plates (matching their special converters) at less than 40, special HD bolt kit (converter they make has 7/16" bolts instead of the stock thread 5/16") and they also have deep oil pan combos.
