Checked the rear in the 66 Valiant yesterday afternoon to see what gear it was running. I turned the yoke as it does not have a driveshaft as of yet, both tires started turning, the left one quit for a bit and then started turning again. Is this an indication there may be a problem with this rear end? I,m not that familiar with a sure-grip. Thanks, Robert |

Where can you get a 8 3/4 rear end? Is there remanufactored ones or is the JY the only way? |

Are you talking just the "chunk" (gearset) or the whole axle assy? The chunks are avail. aftermarket from a few vendors-- you can even get a billet case **$$$** The axle is JY only... but if you're savvy, check out e-bay... deals pop up there from time to time.
