Post subject:  Thinking about building a /6

Hey guys, i love this site, there is tons of information. I'm currently driving a 1966 satellite with a 361ci engine for my daily driver (to work, to school, all of it). I've gone through and rebuilt this and added soem performance items (cam, intake, carbs, exhaust, just the standard stuff). Problem is i'm only getting about 10 mpg. Well, with gas prices constantly going up, i came upon the decision to possibly buy another mopar iwth a /6, and build it for and everyday driver. I do quite a bit of in town driving (35-55 depending on where in town), but I would also like to be able to take trips in this car, and cruise around at about 70-75. I'm thinking of something like a '64-'66 valiant or something like that. Something with a bench seat and 4 speed in it. I'd like to get some good mpg out of it, but not be the slowest car on the road. I've got my satellite for when i want high performance. I just was interested in how I might go about trying to build something like this. I've got a couple months before i will spend the money, because i have to pay off a couple things for the satellite. if you want to check out the satellite click here. it's still a work in progress though.

64-5 Valiants are sharp little rides and should be no problem finding a slant in one but they aren't as easy to find as they were a few years ago. and I think you're most likely going to end up with a 3 in the tree, I don't know how hard a 4 speed swap would be but I'm sure it could be done. I wish I could locate an inexpensive 64-5 Valiant up here I want to build one for the fiancee.

Good luck. :)

A light A-Body car with a SL6 and a 4 speed makes for a pretty fun car. Install a "Super Six" and a set of anti-sway bars and go chase some of them fancy new cars around.

Post subject:  boiled okra?

 Whats wrong with boiled okra? As long as there are some tomatoes mixed in with it.

I have a '65 V100 2-door sedan that I might have to sell. 3-speed column with 225. These are "right sized" cars. I really like them.
