i posted a message like a week ago or somthing about needing to buy a new motor and i got lots of replies my only problem with all this is that a lot of people say "yeah use ebay".
I'm not really sure about buying a motor for my car from some guy who may of left a wrench in it, bounceing around some were under a piston or something (lesson learned already).
So are there some reputable people out there on ebay or what?
and if anyone's heard of a good deal on complete /6, holler at me.

I personally probably wouldn't buy an engine off ebay.I rember seaching on google and found a few places that sell new or rebuilt shortblocks in the vicinity of $1150..If I come across any of those sites again,I'll pass on the info.We all know how good they run with 100k miles on them,but I can only imagine the fun of a brand new one!!!

Other then parts stores units ... you can try popping open your phone book and looking up machine shops to see if anyone will rebuild one for you. Try the automotive section as well as mechanical maybe? Or yellowpages.com

I know someone that had a long block slant overhauled locally for about $1k.
