Finally adjusted the valve lash on the 170 , car is completely different, here's the question, the crank timing marks does not line up with the timing tab, I just did it by sound, the car runs fine except the torque curve comes in later than I would like, the car does not like any dist movement ( I finally have it where there is adjustment on either side of the lock bolt) is there a way to make the advance/power curve come in a little sooner with out tearing the block apart. also where can you get new "O" rings for the distributer, Thanks you guys have been a great help. By the way it is a 62 valiant with the push button tranny.

You can play around with the advance springs and weights in the distributer (do a search on this site for distributer advance). As for the O ring, I got mine from Napa. I just took in the old one to match for size.
