Hi all,,, going to get my drivshaft shortened tomorrow and was needing the length of the driveshaft for a 69 Dart with /6, 904 and 8 3/4 rear. Please tell me where you took the measurment from,, Thanks for any info,,,

The car must be at ride height and level. (put it on a Rack or have jackstands under thr axle housing)

Full gas tank or put extra weight in the trunk.

Most driveline shops want a u-joint "center to center" measurement so slide a "slipyoke" into the rear of thr trans, until it bottoms-out, then pull it back out 1 inch. From here you can estimate where the u-joint center points would be or just measure from the most rearward edge of the front slipyoke "eye" to the bottom (most rearward) of the rearend "knuckle" (yoke's) saddle. These two rearward points are the easest to locate and measure.
