It should fit the car. The only thing I don't recall is what year they went to the vent system in the tank. All he'll have to do is plug it if his car doesn't have it though.

The gas tank for a 70 had a different vapor recovery system and the gas tank has more places to attach hoses. I put a 72 tank into my 70 duster years back - If I remember correctly the charcoal canister and the tank were all I got from the donor car. I got some emission hose and hooked it up like the 72 diagram. |
