Post subject:  oiil breather cap

I converted my intake system from stock 1-bbl closed system intake to a dual weber setup that has to run on an open (positive crankcase ventilation is what I am referring to) system. Meaning my old oil breather cap had a hose running to the air cleaner on my old intake manifold and the PCV valve was running to the carb. The new system has a place for the PCV to vent into the intake manifold, but as for the oil cap breather there is no such accomodation. I got a cheap temporary one from the local speed shop, but it will not do much longer. I get quite a bit of oil "mist" coming out from the side of my hood. I have a 1966 dodge Dart 270 with a 225 slant. The valve cover is the original one. The oil cap was a TALL piece and it slid over a tall protrusion coming from the valve cover. So the replacement I need has to be closed and tall as well. SHould I just go to the speed shop and ask them to order the correct oil breather cap for a PCV open system? But before I do does anyone have an extra one of these lying around? I would gladly pay for it and shipping.

thanks,
CAESAR

Mopar performance still sells the original style breather with no hose to the air cleaner. It only comes in chrome, though.
