In an earlier post someone mentioned making modifications to a stock valve body to make it full manual. Is this actually possible? I have searched the site looking for a procedure and cannot find one.

There are "shift kits" available to accomplish this.

if you have access to a Direct Connection ( pre-Mopar Performance ) book it will spell out exactly how to make a full manual shift auto. this is NOT the hot set up for the street ! you do not have any passing / kickdown, just straight 1, 2, or 3rd gear, you can however boost your line pressure to a constant 90 psi with a simple ball removal, & line adjustment, add a new filter & gasket, begin start barking those 1st / 2nd shifts ! see Mopar Action article " Get Your Ass In Gear " E-Booger is right on !!!!!
