I PASSED SMOG!!!!!!!!!!!!!! A new carb is just what the doctor ordered. Gee,
my gas mileage is significantly better. I wonder why??? This has been a great learning experience. Making me more and less trustworthy of certain mechanics. Blessed is the slant six. I have enjoyed coming to this and other sites for advice. But I'm exhausted and flat broke. I certainly love my van and will continue to maintain it. I definitely look forward to getting better performence out of it. I may do performance upgrades but first I'm going to sit back and enjoy the fruits of my three months of hard labor. Call my mechanic friend and thank him for the patience and dilegence he provided.

Great job getting the Van to pass CA smog. (that is no small chore)

Time to enjoy the Van for another 2 years, then back to the "smog cops" and what ever new rules they dream-up during that time!
