Guys, where would I hook the signal wire for a no-charge light? The reason I ask is, I want to wire a headlamp-on warning chime and need a ground source that is energised with +12V when the engine is on. The positive feed for the chime comes from the headlamp switch through a diode. With the engine stopped, the alternator no-charge light signal wire would no longer be sending a signal, and the ground for the chime would run through this wire. When the engine is started, alternator begins sending voltage through that wire and opposing voltages on both sides of the chime would turn it off. A diode installed in the positive feed wire would prevent the signal wire from turning the headlamps on with the switch off.

I could also use a normally closed vacuum switch to turn the chime off when the engine is started, but I think this method would be harder to conceal. So where do you all think I should tap into the charging system?
