Post subject:  Body weatherstripping sources?

Now that the '74 Scamp is completely stripped and heading to the Paint and Body shop, what are the best sources for door seals, trunk seals, window scrappers and any other misc seals we have removed? This isn't a show car so NOS is not warranted. I just want effective replacements at a reasonable cost. Laysons seems like the best source but somewhat pricy on certain items. Can the door and trunk seals be generic items. The doors have a molded component that I saved. I fact I saved everything but some of the door seals are too dried out. Also the window scapers are completely shot. Is there a generic that I could retrofit effectively?

Thanks.

Try hardensmcw.com or 1-800-633-4690 .

Their website is a little weak, but give them a call. Cheapest window gaskets I have found.

Also looking for door rebuild kits for my 4dr. I have nationalmoparts comparing two and four door stuff right now... only 2dr stuff is available repro.

Is door glass run a standard commodity? I have many lengths of NOS Mack Truck door glass run channels sitting on the floor at work and if the dimensions are the same, I'll use them.
