| Post subject: | Fuse Diagram? |
Anybody have a fuse diagram for a 1974 Dart Swinger they could scan for me? I've been trying to track down an annoying short in the lighting system, but I don't know which fuse to hook up my short finder to. Also, I'd like to know if the fuse for my radio is the right size, since it keeps blowing every couple of months. Thanks, Erik |

Clean up all the dirt on your fuseholder On my 71 at least, the name of the fuse and the rating are written right next to the fuse in white (raised I think too) lettering. And if your looking for a short, I'm not sure you need to be looking at fuses. Fuses are supposed to have very low resistance... If they have high resistance that means they are blown. |

It's pretty clean. Quote: On my 71 at least, the name of the fuse and the rating are written right next to the fuse in white (raised I think too) lettering.
On my car, the fuseholder slots are just numbered 1-10 without any other markings. I don't know if it's because my Dart came with almost all the electrical accessories or if all '74s were like that. Very annoying having to rely on what fuse was in the fuseholder before, instead of knowing exactly what fuse rating to use.

Not really looking at the fuses to find my short. It's just the short circuit finder that I'm using just clips on to the fuse leads and uses an induction sensor to pinpoint a short. Knowing what the fuse is supposed to power just makes it easier to find the short.
