User name is vehicle in question, has a 225 /6 in it and the radio sounds fine when sitting at a light, but as soon as I accelerate the radio has this whine that coincides[sp?] with the rpm and makes it real hard to listen to the radio.
I have replaced wires w/resistor type, plugs are splitfire resistors, Pertronix ignig, and whatever else. I have put a different/better radio in than what was in there and still have the same problem.
Any ideas on what to do, or look for? Thanks

You should also have a filter capacitor on your coil and some cars came with one on the alternator.

They are referring to the condensers that are sometimes used on the coil and/or alternator to eliminate radio interference, not the condenser that was in your distributor primarily to prevent the points from arcing.

a noise filter(at autozone, walmart, radio shack, etc) might help some...

There are lots of "condensers" that need to be present if you're to avoid radio frequency interference. Your "whine" indicates the source of the noise is *probably* the alternator. Try removing the green field wire from the alternator field terminal and going for a short drive. Your alternator won't be charging, so keep it short, but you may well find the noise gone. If so, swing by your local NAPA and pick up *two* radio noise suppression capacitors, Echlin Nr. RC-1. One gets screwed to the "GRD" hole of the rear half of your alternator housing, with its wire terminal secured to the "BAT" (output) stud of the alternator. The other gets screwed to the ignition coil bracket with its wire terminal secured to the *POSITIVE* (+) primary terminal of the ignition coil -- not the negative. This should substantially reduce your radio noise. If not, it may be worth your while carefully testing the alternator. If one or more diodes is shorted or open, it can set up all kinds of bizarre electrical whines.
