Well, last night I replaced the ballast resistor AND the ignition control module. Thanks to everyone who helped me so far. I pumped the gas twice, hit the ignition switch, and she fired right up. The power steering works and it goes into gear. I tried to move it, but it ran pretty rough when I tried - more "tuning" work. It's idling a little slow, too. Also, I think it's running off the battery - don't think there's any charging going on. So, now I get to figure out what's going on there. I'm gonna put a new rotor and cap on. Anyone rebuild their alternator? Does anyone know if the kit from Auto Zone contains everything you really need? Thanks again.

Check the dynamic voltage with a DVOM before ripping the alternator apart - it's only about $30 for a decent one. And don't forget checking feeds and ground to your regulator, it's external.
