Well, I placed my order with Clifford Performance and received my headers in exactly 2 weeks. They had plenty in stock, and mine were sent out for the polished coating, thus the extra week. I am happy with the service they provided me, and I just wanted to let you guys know. I spoke with a fella named Mike, and he said he is one of the many new guys there that are trying to turn things around for the better. At any rate, here are some pictures.

They will be going on a 65 dart which I hope to complete in the next month. It has been apart for over a year and a half now.

Hey Joe (no pun intended),
these headers look awesome. I wonder how they will fit, heard some bad things about clifford... I´m looking for some headders to put on my 62 Lancer, should be the same requirements. Can you give me a part number? What did these beauties cost you?

Christian, These headers should fit most years of slant sixes with a 225 engine. It's the only header that I know of besides custom makes that will fit the early A bodies. I'm not sure how it fits the 198 cu, but it won't fit the 170 cu according to the postings I've read. Unfortunately, I cannot try them on until I get the body back from the shop. It may be several weeks until that happens. I believe Clifford said that these may be the only headers that they have now.

Price is $299.00 for uncoated or a black coating which is their most durable coating.
The polished coating is an extra $100.00, but they said it is not as durable. However, I've talked to the company that does the polished coating and they said you can re-polish the headers in the future.

Make sure the header flange on both pieces are flush, otherwise you will have to cut tthat metal bar on the flange between each pipe or they won't seal right.

Other then that, they do look nice. Just wish clifford would put ball flanges on them instead of regular collectors.

Oh, just rememberd, the collecter flange, even though its thick, like 1/8" it still is relatively soft so don't go bonkers tightening the 3 bolts down. I would torque each of the 3 bolts down little by little one after the other so as to reduce your chances of warping, kinda like how you are supposed to tighten lug nuts in a star pattern so you won't warp your wheels.
