Do I need to find spark plug wires that have the moulded end that fits flush with the spark plug tubes? And if so, where can I find them? What kind of wires are you guys using? Thanks.

No, you don't need the spark plug boots. Regular straight plug wires will work fine. If your worried about the tubes leaking, they are still available at your local parts store. They are the same seals as used on the Hemi plug tubes. I've heard Napa may still carry them. I used regular Autolite 7.5mm wires. Nothing fancy, but they are still in good condition after 3+ years.

Eric, thanks very much. This is a great site, but sometimes hard to get someone to answer. Thank you for replying. I guess the tubes are actually held in by the plugs themselves, right?

Again, thank you.

Yep, the tubes are held in by the plugs and I got some of those gaskets from Napa less than a year ago.

You can get a set of wires with the big cool boots on Ebay for less than $30. Type in slant six or slant 6.

Best of luck,

Joe

I got the tubes from a 60 valiant 175 /6. They are thicker, sturdier. I intalled new rubber seals and glued with hi temp silicone. No leaks at all and it's easyer to install and remove the spark plugs. Then you can use almost any cable you wanna use. Good luck.

As stated you don't need the correct boots, but if you want them you can find them if you look really hard... I just bought a good set of spark plugs wires and pulled the old boots off my stock wires, it worked great.
