'74 Plymouth Scamp 3 speed moter. Brown, red, green, blue wires. How do I connect it to a car battery and test it? Also does this motor go all the way around continuously in normal operation? Thanks. |

I figured it out on my own. It does turn continuously BTW. If you connect the body of the motor to ground and connect plus 12 volts to the brown wire it will start the moter. I believe the other wires are for stopping the motor at the correct place. |

Look at the wiring diagram, that will lend you clues. 3 speeds... I'm guessing one wire for each speed maybe? Does it have a big resistor, similar to a ballast resistor, on it? |
