I've been reding all of the posts regarding various guage/lighting woes because I have some of my own, but before I throw my back out again laying upside down on the tranny hump trying to get the dash cluster out (fun) I thought I would see if I could get some kind of consensus as to possible solutions that I may have missed. '70 Dart Swinger 225 slant The problems: Temp guage out and Fuel Guage reads sporadiacally (reads relatively accurately when headlights are on and dash lights are turned to high, otherwise does not read at all), Dash lights out on same side as those guages, dash light dimmer is either on or off, no in between. Turn signals work only occaisionaly, sometimes come on together like hazard lights, or not at all. from the other posts I know that it could be a bad ground, a bad headlight switch, a bad voltage limiter or possibly a bad sending unit plus other things(thought with all of these other problems, I'm not going to start there). Since all of these problems are centered around the dash/steering column, it has to be a problem there, but if anybody has any other thoughts, I would be happy to hear them. Thanks as always! |
