My engine is getting built finally, after a long time of looking for the best recipe, etc,..

Now, I thought it would be nice to make some sort of nameplate for on the trunk, something like the dodge script, but then with my own text.

I found someone that can make one for me (or maybe more if someone is interested), using autocad. He claims he can also copy the same lettertype.

I was thinking of nameplate with "something"Hyperpak on it, but I'm not going to put just 'hyperpak' on there, because in my opinion that's only valid if you built an engine acording to the original specs,.. something I didn't do. (Proline webers, headers, compcam 264,msd6al,etc)

Now I'm looking for some nice ideas, I've come up with two so far:

Hyperpak Evolution or Hyperpak Revisited ( I like that one)

Ok, throw in all of your ideas!!

========================================

Ps, here's something he made in the past:

I'm gonna leave the creativity to you (or others), since creativity requires inspiration...

Just remember this - How many people outside of the cult of slant sixers or "Mopar" guys know (or even care) what a Hyperpak is? So if you want it to be "Hyperpak something" or "something Hyperpak", have the "something" be something that will resound with the masses (unless you want only a narrow group to get your "inside" reference - I doubt you'd want to tack emblems on your car if that was the case)...8)

I thought that not many from the V8 crowd knew what Hyperpak was, but to my surprise some do, so therefor I like to use this name,..
But the second part has to make it a bit more 'personal',.. or I could just go with New Hyperpak,..

Yep, I was thinking of tacking it to the car,.. don't mind the 2 small holes, if the script doesn't come out nice it won't end up on the car, so if it is nice it will only make the car more special,.. to me at least.
Not many people know what Barreiros means also, but when they see the script I sometimes hear 'hey, look, that's one of those Spanish Darts!'.

I want to use the same type of letter in my script.

I think brevity is important; you want that benz driver to be able to read it as you blow past  ! Unless you want your emblem to span the trunk lid...
How about alphanumeric, per european trends; 3.8 SSD (Slant Six Dart)
Or how about translations? How would you translate Hyperpack into Dutch or Spanish (to match Barreiros)?
Any other applicable Dutch words that would look good in script?

It's not necesary that the Benz driver knows what I have under the hood, I like the sleeper thing,..

I like the idea of using Spanish,.. Hyperpak would become: Paquete hiperactivo   I like!

I also like the 3.8 idea,.. or 3.7 to be exact.

Or maybe just something with Slant 6,.. If you're handy with a prog. like photoshop you may send in your designs! Even if they won't get used, it's fun to do.

I want to send the guy the measurements and the design tonight, it's 19:00h right now over here.

OK, OK, I'm gonna give out the logo I have used on my spec sheet for my Duster at some shows... Now I'm sure I'll see it everywhere

Six Offender  :o

There are many other variations on this theme, Six Maniac, Six Addict, you get the picture!

How about simply 225-Hyperpak or Hyperpak-225?

what do you think, are you allowed to use the term Hyperpak, if you didn't exactly copy the Hyperpak recipe? :?

BTW, what was the exact recipe of the Hyperpak from the 60's?

I think Daimler-Chrysler lawyers could care less if you use the term "hyperpak".... Now "super sonoramic" on the other hand... ;)

You never know, though - with all the current "retro" hype, you never know what old trademark they're going to dredge up and gaurd with their lives, er, uh, attorneys. Case in point: I know a guy who just bought a Chrysler "hemi" 300C... And it's not a '57 model. Go figure. The marketers at today's D-C don't even understand or care about how the letter series worked (B='56, C='57, D='58, etc.). That's how they could offer a new "M" for several model years starting a couple years ago (the real letter series left off in '65 with the 300"L") and then nonsensically come out with a "C"...

Apologies for the rant ;)

I like the "Sonoramic" name, wasn't it used on Plymouths only or did they call all the long rams that?
You are definitely in the spirit of the original, so I say use the name if you want.
Dennis, I agree about the letter cars; if you're going to honor tradition, honor it, don't twist it around for marketing.

Im building a 170 Hyper-Pac(yes,with a Clifford h-p intake)60 Valiant ,and am painting dual racing stripes along the bottom of the doors and fenders.I have a freind who owns a sign shop and has the nifty setup where he can cut most any graffic or sign you can think of out of vinyl but I told him that I didny really like the idea of"stickers" on my car, then he mentioned that he also has a stencil material so I could use that to paint somthing and incorporate it into my stripe.I plan on using 2.8/H-P
2.8=170
/=SLANT 6
H-P= to the initiated Hyper-Pac to the unitiated High Perfomance

The car will be white with red/orange stripes and my logo will be silver and in the stripe.

Maybe for your Dart ,you could use HyperDart in the same font as the rest of your emblems,I think that would be cool.

I also thought about getting personalised license plates that simply said "HYPER" and then getting a custom license plate frame that reads "NO RITALIN REQUIRED".

I've got one.
Some of the early Hemi cars (Belvideres, GTX's) had HP2 emblems on the side. You could change it to HP4 in your case. Hyper Pac 4. :P
