The Dupont oil engineer told me that is the best oil for the money on a new engine or a rebuild after break in.
I believe that Mobile 1 is the original fill in BMW as well as some other high dollar imports. It's what I use in my vehicles.

The only reason I asked about Lucas was that I have a couple of vehicles that set for long periods between startups and was thinking about the the dry startup issues, after reading that link I beleive Ill just use quality motor oil and pray for the best. Thanks Dan.

A thickener like Lucas or STP will make that problem worse because they thicken the oil and slow it circulation. You'd be better off with a thinner oil. You could prime the oil pump with vaseline or light grease then spin it over for a few seconds with the plugs out to pump some oil up into the bearings and camshaft. When I was working on phords we used to pull the distributor and spin the rod with an electric drill until oil was circulating. Can't do that with a slant.
