There is a company on the web "1aauto" the sells new exhaust manifolds for a /6 for $110.00. Does anyone have experience with this company? Are the manifolds "good".

Does anyone know any other sources for new or good used?

thanks!

From what I have heard they are good, high quality pieces with nice casting quality. $110 is a nice price. NAPA charges over $400 for an exhasut manifold.

Don't know about the exhaust manifold, but I got a trunk mat from them without any problems........... (so I would buy from them again)

Bought one for my 79 van, recieved it promptly, it fit like a glove. It also came with new triangle washers, a heat stove for preheat tube, and hardware to attatch it to the intake manifold. For the price, you cant beat it!

I also got one last week - looks real nice, except that it's not American made, but for the price, can you beat it? This coming weekend I get a 2-bbl intake to join the new manifold on my engine.

Thanks for the heads-up on the 1a auto exhaust manifold. After wasting half of 2 Saturday's trying to refurbish old manifolds, I decided to cut my losses and buy a new one. I've trial fitted it and tonight, after I get some high temp RTV, I will review the very complete instructions also provided by this forum and get it bolted up. It's nice that they included the brass washers, 2 special nuts, and the triangular spacers. I had to drill out my intake a little where the front stud, also included, goes into the exhaust manifold at the heat riser area. Also they didn't tap one hole on the choke bi-metallic spring mount. But for $110 and $26 shipping I'm pretty sure this is going to work well.

The '73-up stock choke thermostats don't have a "front" bolt, they just have a little metal tang that sits in the untapped hole, and the thermostat's held on by just the "rear" bolt.
