A 2-stage carb will have 2 throttle shafts.

I'm used to seeing the 2-stage carbs on the japanese cars (and honda had a neat little 3 bbl for the CVCC head).

Not sure which american cars had the 2-stage cars, but usually it was the smaller engined cars that had 2-stage and the larger engined cars which had 1-stage.

I still have one question ! Is the kickdown cable length a critical point? I mean it will act the same if the cable is 1 or 10feet right?
