Does anyone have a 'Good' pic of the Clifford headers installed ??

I've checked the Clifford site and the pic they display isn't very good.
I'm considering them for my 62 Valiant Street Cruiser, for looks as
much as for efficiency.

In my '87 D150:

Your Engine and compartment looks nice and clean (nice job)

The clifford site lists headers for high starter placement and low
starter placement. I assume yours is a low starter (since I haven't
looked under many of those truck hoods I'm ignorant ).

I have power brakes, will these headers clear my High starter and
also the Vacuum buster ?

My truck has both the high starter and power brakes (and a rather large diameter power brake booster I might add). The headers are Clifford's 3x2 for trucks with high-starter, and no A/C (I removed my non-functioning A/C)

Header-starter clearance with my original starter was very tight...I had to remove the starter's heat shield and very lightly dimple a header tube with a socket. In those pictures I have the newer nippondenso mini-starter installed, which gives me a mile of clearance.

No issues with the brake booster whatsoever. BUT, remember this is a truck. I likely have much more engine bay room than your Valiant.

Anyone else have these headers on their early 'A' body ??

Looking for comments/input before I decide.

Do some deep digging on this site with the search term "Clifford" before you decide to drop the bucks for that particular item.

Then, get Dutra Duals instead.

Too many people who were born on third base actually believe they've hit a triple.

The only new Clifford headers that will fit a '62 are their "one size fits all" shorties. They will only fit with a 198 or 225.

I have a set on my '66. They clear a high starter.

The long Clifford hearers as in the above pics look to work well in the
Pickup where he has a ton of room but I think would be a very tight
exit from the engine compartment of my 62 Valiant (225 eng.).

Thanks for the pic, need a little help with what I'm looking at.

It looks like you have 2 collectors, the top collector is the front 3
cylinders and a collector below the front collector taking care of
back 3 cylinders.
How tight is it getting 2 exaust pipes through next to the auto trans ?
Or do you have a 'Y' pipe and single exaust ?

@ All ........ the Dutra Duels are a good option. I really would like
to go with headers but if I can't find headers that satisfy me then
I'll go with the Dutra Duels.

You are correct there are 2 collectors. I have a Y-pipe that connects to the single exhaust just behind the firewall. I did have to bend the shift linkage to be able to get it into D-2-1. I also had to reshape the trans cooler lines.

Is it possible to run dual exhaust's with this header set up?

yes I could easily run duals. the headers have dual outlets. I may have done that if the Y-pipe had not come with them as part of the purchase.
