I am putting an HEI in this weekend. Is there any problem(s) with mounting it under the dash and running the wires thru the firewall?

I have a 1/2 inch aluminum block thats 4" x 2". I was thinking of bolting that to the firewalll and then screwing the ecu to it. Does anyone happen to know the size of the original screws? (for tapping purposes)
