Anyone go with the FFI tubular UCA's. thay look like a pretty good deal if they come with ball joints and bushings. and they look alot better.

I've got them on my 63 Dart convertible, along with Firm Feel's reinforced K member, reinforced lca, and front and rear hollow sway bars; Edelbrock shocks.

It's probably 6 months to a year from getting on the road, though, so I cannot tell you how it handles.

I'm trying to build my ultimate dream car, but this is a hobby for me and I work on it as I have time.

Part of the equation must be the metal fatigue factor.

My 63 convertible has over 300,000 miles on it that I know of.

How long will the stock upper arms last?

For the price Firm Feel charged, I don't have to worry or even pay a shop to remove/replace bushings. Comes with new ball joints, too.

Then there's the cool factor . . .

I'm going crazy deciding on what should go into my front end rebuild. this ain't a race car it's a daily driver. I do want it lower so the positive caster increase seems like it would be worth it. not to mention the cool factor.

There is no "right" answer.

The original upper control arms on my car worked fine for a long time and look OK now.

If economy is an important factor, then have them inspected and, if good, put stock bushings and ball joints on and keep driving.

Better handling will result just from rebuilding the original front end and putting decent tires on.
