What would that big tube at the left connect to. The valve cover?

My guess would be the charcoal cannister. Looks alot like a fuel bowl vent.

I have two similar webers
The fuel inlet is on that part just above the big tube.
One of mine has the fuel inlet and the vent tube coming off that part.
Are there one or two tubes coming off the part above it?
If not, it could be the fuel inlet because it's in the general area.

I found these that almost help.



The black hose at upper left would appear to be the fuel line. A plugged red hose is obviously closing off something pretty big. The "thing" at upper right has nothing attached.



There is now a red hose attached to the "thing." Is that another plugging device? I can't tell for sure.

The carb (used) is on its wayand will almost certainly have no documentation.. Being a Holley Weber 5210 it isn't that easy to find details about. But I'm workin' on it.

On the 4th exploded view download I got one that showed it was the bowl vent. (The others didn't show it at all.) I guess not having a canister ('65 Valiant 100) I'll just plug it?

Hm... it would seem to me that if you plugged it, that would eliminate the venting feature of the carb after the engine is shut off. I assumed that would be undesirable. Until I get my charcoal canisters hooked up, I just have mine venting to open air. Is this not advisable?
