I'd like to plug in weight of my Barracuda (maybe 3300lbs) and desired 1/4 mile time (14.5sec) and get require HP needed (X) to make that time.

Google the various "street" car series (OSCA, PSCA) sites. Almost all them have one.

You will find that MPH and ET calculators will give different numbers too.

does anybody have a good guess on the weight of my car.

The calculators are much more reliable in predicting power for speed reached rather than ET.
The difference is that the calculator assumes the car is "prepared", and if not wil require more power than shown.
Prepared:
1. axle ratio to reach 1/4 mile speed + 5 mph.
2. most efficient stall speed for launch
3. maximum chassis rigidity
4. maximum weight transfer
5. traction

I suggest you pick a speed and work backwards. Whether you reach your ET goal is more about the chassis than the motor.

I always figured that calculators merely provided how much power was needed to accelerate a given weight to the MPH or ET entered. As such, panic would be right, they are kind of a guess at best.

They are fun to play with though.

I'd guess your car weighs 3000 with you in it, if you are average weight.
