Will a racing mirror from a two door B-body fit properly on the door of a four door sedan from the same period originally equipped with a standard mirror?

Hey Reed, I gave Brett the mirror off my car to put on the Reedmobile (after removing the remote mirror that was in it) . It came off the same '72 Satellite I got my grill and front valance from. Did he give it to you, or do you just want something racier? Heh, take care of my old grill and right side tail light.... Oh yeah, if you need an emergency brake assembly, I know of a Cordoba in a Seattle yard that may work on the early '70's B bodys.

Hey Eric, thanks! I haven't picked up the car yet. I am still trying to get a time i can go over there. I didn't know you had given Brett the old mirror, and i have a used racing mirror already.

I didn't know you gave Brett the grille either! I was going to fabricate one using wire mesh, but I will happily use a factory one!

I may take you up on the Cordoba pedal, but let me scrounge around some.

Hopefully in the next few weeks I will be able to hook up with Brett and pick the old beastie up. I will be sure to let you know.

I hope before you drive it you will go through the brakes and replace that idler arm. You'll need fresh gas, oil, trans fluid....the car hasn't moved in along time!

Oh yeah, definitely. I will spend a weekend going through it, airing it out, lubing, changine filters, etc...

Then it will be time for a little bit of body work, then of to Maaco for a cheapo paint job so it is all one color, then it will be time to start on the interior. I am going to use some of the knowledge and experience I have gained playing with custom vans to re-do the Satellite interior. Gorrilla fur headliner? Vynil covered plastic trim? Button tucked dashpad? Only time will tell....
