Can this rear end leak out of the front of the differential? If so, how hard is it to repair?

Thanks,
Geoff

Yes, at the pinion seal. Open your factory service manual and you'll see what's required to remove the driveshaft, the pinion nut, yoke, and finally the seal. It will also tell you how to put it all back together properly which is the hard part.
