Hello All,

I have a 1967 dart 270 4-door. It doesn't have the original motor. I found two numbers on the block, the one cast into the block is "530-11", the one stamped on the pad is "8 225 8 26 EX". Does anybody know what these numbers mean? The head doesn't have the spark plug tubes.

Sounds like a 1978 225 offhand. If your car is automatic, hope whoever swapped the engine put in the adaptor ring between the late engine and early trans, otherwise transmission front pump bushing and seal life will be short.
