Does anyone have any knowledge of this intake? I know it looks just about identical to the Offy intake, but does anyone have any firsthand knowledge of it being good or bad?

I think I would avoid it. The inboard throttle bores are way to close to the motor. The fuel distribution would be very poor with most of the fuel going to cylinders 2-5. 1 and 6 would hardly get any mixture flow.

here is a pic of the offy intake. You can see how all four throtle bore holes are much more "outboard" than the Weiand. This allows for a more even fuel distribution.

Here is that Weiand for comparison:

I don't think there will be a huge difference between the two, altough I've never used a Weiand. IIRC, Meril Bruner used the W on his "Half Hemi" car when he went in the 12s for the 1st time in the 1980s.

i don't see much of a difference in the two. i have a clifford manifold and mounted the carb with the primaries furthest from the engine to help with fuel distribution. the only problem i see with right now is that under hard acceleration, the front jet may go dry. i am consider getting the foam inserts from summit to put in there to help with that. but with the clutch slipping as much as it does, i don't have to worry about that right now.
