Hi everybody. My Valiant has an electronic ignition that i got off a Aspen in the junkyard a couple of months after I put this on the ignition control box; or ECU as some people call it started to put out a green slime. this stopped after a short time. A month ago my car died as I was going down the road, and wouldn't start unless I turned off the key and turned it back on. This continued to happen randomly for a while, and then yesterday it quit and wouldn't start again. My dad tells me that the ECU probably went out, but I didn't know if you had anything similar happen to your cars.

I was also wondering if a "Orange Box" from mopar would have the right plug on it and would be good for slant sixes, and also if you know of a good aftermarket box that is cheap ( I am seventeen and on a budget) I would appreciate it.

Thanks

Sounds like it's likely a junk ECU; nothing should ever ooze out of it, especially not green slimy stuff. Many parts stores can test it for you if you remove it from the car and take it in separately. Many people on the board are not a fan of the orange boxes, but so far I've had great luck with a plain 'ol aftermarket Borg Warner.
