Ross,

Do you have any pics of your car? Your last comments got me curious.

Lou

Not with me! I'm working on the car in my Dad's shop which is about 3 hours away. Right now I'm fitting and refitting and the car is about to go to be blasted so the wheels and suspension isn't on it. I fitted up the suspension and wheels a couple months ago and it all fit. I'm not sure if I took any pics when we got it sitting on the ground, but I'll look!!

I know I have some pics of the A-arms up in the car, not sure what else I have pictures of.

I've been told I could use drop spindles from an F/J body. What else would I need to make those work?
You can get real A-body drop spindles from Austrailia for about $400 a pair from these guys: http://www.rodshop.com.au/chassis.htm

Part Number SA 04 (Valiant drop spindles)

I bought my .920" torsion bars from www.manciniracing.com , as they seemed to have a good price and they are a vendor I trust.

I could recommend other parts, but I always drove my car at the stock ride height (pretty high).

Well, I emailed them to get a quote on cost to have them shipped and to make sure they were drop spindles for my 64.

We don't do anything for this sorry.
So, they are out of the question. If they are for them, their tech doesn't know it, not sure that's service (and possibly quality) that I trust.

I don't know about drop spindles, but I got some tubular upper control arms which allowed me to get the frame on the ground and still be able to align the car to my desired ride height. It may be easier to use those than the drop spindles. Using the tubular uppers you can turn the torsion bars down to get the height you want and you'll be able to align it with the adjustment in the control arms.
Did you purchase them or make them? I too would love to see pics. I will not be going any larger than 15's so the wheels should easily fit.

I bought them from Ebay. I chose to buy them without the ball joints.

Check out pics on sereas.com. Obviously the suspension pics are in the Dart Restoration category, then suspension. There are some other pics of what I've been working on in there...the paint is a couple years old and is going to be redone. I need to be better at getting pictures taken, the body is mostly stripped now lol.
