On a 225 slant six can the oil pump generate enough oil pressure just by cranking over from the battery to make a visual check of oil being delivered to the oil passage in the head leading to the Rocker arm assembly.

Yes, but it will take some time cranking, maybe even a few minutes. If the rocker bar bolt is out, that would give you an indication much earlier than waiting to see it come out of the rockers through the system.

Also, if you do this, remove the spark plugs (all the way out) and block the throttle and choke all the way open, then operate the starter by using a screwdriver to connect the two large terminals on the starter relay (or the two terminals on the starter itself).

Would priming time be reduced if you used an oil filter relocation kit?
Since the pump doesn't have to fill the filter(If you pre-filled)
Are these relocation kits nice, or something else to leak. I don't like the thought of oil pouring over my clean, painted engine every time I change the filter. That's why I'm asking.
