I am looking for the correct red for my 66 valiant engine. It is kind of a red/orange color. The MOPAR red I bought was like a cherry red and it seems like it doesn't matter from what company either, they are all this cherry red. :x Please help!!!!!!

The Mopar engine paint is of poor quality. The factory paint stuck pretty well but tends to fade over the years. See this post.

If I hung out in an engine compartment for 40 years, I'd fade too.

hi, the closest color match is dupli-color DE-1632 chrysler industrial engine red. nice red-orange tint. thats what i used on my 68 cuda and was very happy with color results.i got it at napa. i even tried bill hirsch engine paints and could not come up with a correct match. his red is too red and the orange isn't even close. ron

I second the Dupli Color Industrial red,it looks really good on both of my 170 engines and matches the factory color closer than anything else I have used.

This is the poor-match, poor-quality MP paint most of us agree sn't worth messing with.
