If I read the question verbatim; it is implying that the same Engineer is on both the East Bound train and the West Bound train, which cannot be.

But if that is not the trick... then the name is "Deceased", as both trains have "no stops"... therefore they will collide at 70MPH.

Am I close :?:

OK im going to give this up my 5 grade teacher wanted us to think with out giving the last name of the engineers. She did not want the student to ask there parents the answer. Mr East Bound and Mr West Bound. If you think about it is puzzle that requires some thought. But is not that hard. Thanks Ron Parker :D

I still haven't figured out what that has to do with math... or toluene for that matter.

I like Full Sail a little better but I won't turn either away. Alaskan Amber was my favorite when I lived in Oregon but it doesn't seem to be as good down here. I don't know whether it's the extra distance or what but it's just not the same.

*EDIT* This still has nothing to do with toluene but at least there is ethanol.

They might be hard to find down in your "neck" of the woods. Fat Tire is brewed in Ft Collins, CO and Full Sail in Hood River, OR. Fat tire is more widely distributed but I don't know if they have gotten it down to the South East Coast yet.

It can be hard to find a good ale east of the continental divide.
