I have a Proline fuels setup on my car and have had it for a year or so. I am upgrading the throttle pedal , cable, and kickdown linkage to Lokar products. I wanted to know if anybody out there has this done or has looked into it. Seems like all the built slant sixes out there have the clifford intake and 4 barrel carb setup and I have seen that work with the Lokar setup, but I have not heard of a sole that has the Proline fuel set up and Lokar cables. I still to this day have not yet seen another slant that has the Proline fuel setup. Can any body help? I like the Proline fuels setup because it is different but don't know if the upgarde will work with out some crappy looking bracket that I have to make like I had to do with the current kickdown system. Thanks for the help

Another question I have is if anybody has been to Prolinefuels.com or not I cannot find it anymore and don't even know if he is still in buisness?

I can't help you with your throttle cable, but I can tell you that Proline fuels is no longer in business. IIRC the website had an announcement a year or so ago about family issues forcing the owner to abandon the business effort.

Thank you for the update on ProLineFuels, thats what I was guessing might have happened. They were having family problems when I bought the setup from him a while back.

Chris also had problems with Weber. I was going to try a prototype setup for him and he could not get carbs from Weber anymore.

H'mmm...I'm looking, but not seeing where/how the throttle control (cable?) hooks into your linkage system...

Dan If you look real close, the Throttle cable (gas pedal) hooks into the Bottom of the Front carb. - Pulls the Throttle blades open fron the bottom (underneath) the butterflies of the carb. Then the kick down hooks to the same position on the Second (rear) carb -

At least that's how it looks to me.

Do you have any side shots of the setup. Looks good the first I have seen installed like mine. I can see the throttle cable and that is where mine is now and I use the stock bar style kickdown. Is that what you are doing with this also or do you have a cable style kickdown attached to the rear carb? Thanks for the help and I would love it if you could get another shot of the side so I can see where you attachment points are to the carbs! Mine is not pretty but after this weekend I will have a new throttle pedal, new throttle cable and bracket, and cable kickdown![/img]

I use the rod (mechaincal) linkage for the kickdown.
I had to make a new rod but the rest of the KD linkage is factory stuff.
As already noted, the cable connects to the front carb, the KD linkage works off the rear carb.
