I was told a BB Mopar fuel pump fits our slants.

True or False?

And do slant motor mounts match up the same as another Mopar mount?

I was interested in getting some urethane ones. I have a urethane tranny mount on my van, I will be getting one for the 4 speed.

Partially true on the fuel pump: The pump bolts in but you must swap on a slant six pump arm.

Matt C is correct on the fuel pump.

Mounts: What year, model, engine and trans are you shopping for mounts on?

72 Duster /6 Just looking for tougher than stock. I am guessing a chain is in order too.

Chain's not needed. You can get a really good driver side engine mount for '67-'72 slant-6 A-bodies from PolyBushings.

I ran a really nice torque link I bought from Barry Harrison on my '66 for a few years. The motor would still move around a lot on the stock mounts.

I built a pair of solid mounts for it this year. It don't move at all now, but your teeth get buzzed a little.

Tranny mount isn't near that much in price, and I like to get kissed

I am guessing they aren't the only one that sell the poly's. See what I can find from the guy that sold me the tranny mount.

There are probably several sources.

Yep, and very much worth it. It is a really nicely engineered and made item.

Yes, but that way is halfassed. Guarantees are irrelevant; they don't turn a piece of 3rd-world crapola into a decent part. Dakight is right: You get what you pay for. The corrollary is that you don't get what you don't pay for.

When I get ready to buy I will call GregZ at www.magnumhp.com and bet I get a better price. He's a Mopar guy and decent people.

You give that a try and let us know how it works out for you. But I'm betting that even if he has poly slant-6 A-body engine mounts for less, they're not the same mounts Polybushings has. Remember, there's a critical difference between price and cost. They're not the same.

Also, FWIW, the Polybushings guy is a decent Mopar guy, too.

I used to have a chain holding down the engine on my dart for a while.

I did one better - The left side mount on the 67-72? a body slant is a Sandwich style mount - So is the same year LA motoe mounts (L&R)

They are not as High, so I bought a set of Moroso LA solid mounts, Shimmed one up to match the heighth of a stock sandwich mount and use it on the left mount.

Motor goes nowhere - I use a stock rubber mount on the right and a nice Poly mount rom imperial services / Schumacker on the tranny - This combo work well when I beat it on the track. (manual Trans Drag racing)

The moroso Solid mound I believe I found for 20-30 Bucks (for a Pair) I only use one, but you cant buy only 1.
The tranny mount is $75 and as dan said worth every penny as it's a quality piece, well engineered, and take lots of abuse.

The polybushings guy has reference numbers on his site. I thought that some slant mounts are the same as small block mounts.

It will be a while as bills are more pressing than toys right now.
