Sorry to re-hash this, but I couldn't find my answer anywhere.

some parts that are mentioned on this site as being good for an HEI conversion are hiding from me. I can't find (NAPA Echlin MO-3000 distributor rotor) or (Bluestreak CH410XV cap).

If I take these part numbers into napa, are they going to know what I'm talking about? I searched the napa parts website with these numbers, and nothing showed up.

thanks!

That will work for the Rotor but they will try to cross-reference the Standard Blue Streak number to their own Echlin number. You don't want the Echlin cap; virtually all of them are ground off center. I believe http://www.rockauto.com has the Standard stuff.

I worked at Carquest and they carry Standard ignition as their "good" line. That CH410XV part number is a number any Carquest store would immediately recognize, and may very well carry right in the store. On some of the more obscure stuff they have to go to a Distribution Center to get the part, but they might stock that cap right in the store. Davey

Go to the NAPA website on the left hand side where it says "NAPA Part Number" type in MO3000 and it should show right up $5.49 apiece.

Thanks! I called them, and they had it.. sort of

they said they show a CH410X, but they weren't sure what a CH410XV was.

I'm sure the CH410X would work just fine, but I'm wondering with this V business is all about

Aw, crud, my fault. Sorry about that. CH-410X is correct. My brain misfired on number-4 cylinder and added the "V" from Standard's best points set for Chrysler-built distributors (CH-14XV).
